Stewart, a pioneering African American pharmacist and civil rights leader, through the recently featured JSTOR Daily article, &#8220;Toledo\u2019s Most Singular Pharmacist.&#8221; Stewart, the first Black female graduate of the University of Pittsburgh pharmacy school documented her life in a series of scrapbooks. These scrapbooks now make up the <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalgallery.bgsu.edu\/collections\/show\/143\">Ella P. Stewart Scrapbooks Collectio<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalgallery.bgsu.edu\/collections\/show\/143\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">n<\/a> in the archive at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Portions of these scrapbooks have been digitized and are available for viewing on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/site\/reveal-digital\/behind-the-scenes-civil-rights-movements\/bowlinggreenstateuniversityellapstewartscrapbooks-36502826\/?so=item_title_str_asc&amp;searchkey=1741644922544\">Reveal Digita<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/site\/reveal-digital\/behind-the-scenes-civil-rights-movements\/bowlinggreenstateuniversityellapstewartscrapbooks-36502826\/?so=item_title_str_asc&amp;searchkey=1741644922544\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">l<\/a>, JSTOR&#8217;s initiative that develops open primary source collections from under-represented 20th-century voices, as part of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/site\/reveal-digital\/behind-the-scenes-civil-rights-movements\/?so=item_title_str_asc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Behind the Scenes of the Civil Rights Movements Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Central to her legacy, these scrapbooks contain a collection of news clippings, photographs, and letters that chronicle her personal and professional milestones.
