AIHP is excited to introduce our new intern, Bronte Jensen! Bronte is a valuable member of the AIHP Capital Campaign team, working with Executive Director Lucas Richert and Digitization Collections Specialist, Kristen Huset. Bronte will be looking over literature reviews, conducting research, and assisting in designing a new social media branding.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bronte\u00a0is currently a senior at Saint Louis University studying Psychology and English. This past summer, she worked for the enrichment and alumni awards teams at the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What excites you about joining the AIHP?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am excited to learn more about pharmacy as a whole and its rich history. Although pharmacy isn’t my area of study, I find it very captivating, and I look forward to working with others with the same outlook. I hope that my role at AIHP will encourage other individuals to support this organization and see the impact it has on the field of pharmacy as a whole.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Interests you about the capital campaign project? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working on a capital campaign is a new and exciting project for me. I am eager to gain a deeper understanding of the campaign itself and how it will benefit AIHP and the pharmacy field in general. This experience will not only allow me to contribute to the mission of AIHP, but also to grow my insight to those who support this organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are new to AIHP and the history of pharmacy. What is one thing you found out about the history of pharmacy that you find interesting and want to share with others?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first drug store in North America opened in 1653, which marked the beginning of the pharmaceutical journey that led us here today. It’s fascinating to consider that, even after ~370 years, we’re still uncovering new medications and learning new developments every day. Helping fund this campaign will allow the researchers to continue their work of making breakthroughs and improving health care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AIHP is over eighty years old, and you can still see the traces of people who have contributed time and effort to its mission. What mark do you hope to leave on this institute? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I encourage everyone to support companies that they\u2019re passionate about, even if they don\u2019t have extensive knowledge of the field. I hope to carry my new knowledge to other companies and inform those close to me of the importance of pharmacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
