It\u2019s one thing, for example, to learn how to titrate the medicine regimen of a patient with Parkinson\u2019s disease; it\u2019s something else entirely to understand the patient\u2019s experience\u2014his or her feelings about the disease and the effects of treatment\u2014and to use that insight in guiding the patient toward an optimal outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A typical installment of the monthly podcast spotlights a particular disease and interprets works from the humanities that offer insights into the experience of patients with that disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The podcast is hosted by J.
