The Edward Kremers Research Library and Archive Digital Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Digital Collections of the Edward Kremers Research Library and Archive includes a diverse range of print materials, manuscripts, and artifacts from the shared collections of the AIHP and the School of Pharmacy. Items were chosen for their uniqueness and historical significance, reflecting the extensive and varied history of community pharmacy and pharmaceutical manufacturing in the United State. Researchers around the globe can access the collections, exposing them to new and wider audiences. These members-only resources will teach you how to care for archival materials, conduct historical research, and identify artifacts, to name a few of the topics we are sharing. AIHP will be adding to the collection of videos, so check back to see what’s new!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re excited to share that two of our team members are stepping into new roles to further contribute to our growth and success. Please join us in congratulating the following individuals on their new responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\nBeth Fisher is now in the role of assistant director. Beth started her AIHP tenure as program manager in 1995 assistant and moved into the curator position in 2000. In the role of assistant director, she will now be overseeing all aspects of the AIHP office. Of the change, Beth says \u201cI am excited to continue working with our historical collections and promoting the AIHP to a wider audience.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\nKristen Huset is now in the role of program manager. Kristen started as the digitization specialist in 2023 working on making the collections more accessible to the public. In her new role as program manager she will be focusing on supporting the AIHP Capital Campaign and coordinating the management and operations of AIHP activities, including membership, collections development, and outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These position changes will help the Institute prepare for the upcoming capital campaign and programmatic growth. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n2024 End-of-Year Gift-Giving Campaign<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The AIHP finalized its 2024 end-of-year gift-giving campaign in late December! The AIHP Board of Directors and staff wish to heartily thank those members and friends who supported the campaign with their generosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In total, the AIHP raised over $6500 to help kickstart our capital campaign, enhance our collections, with a special focus on the Lila and Emanuel Halpern Collection, and connect and share our collections with our members and the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again, we want to thank everyone who took part in the campaign!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) have recently spotlighted a powerful collection of oral histories from our collection that celebrate the impact and legacy of U.S. Public Health Service Chief Pharmacy Officers (CPOs) in the healthcare field. The U.S. Public Health Service Chief Pharmacist Officers Oral History Project provides invaluable insights into the personal journeys, professional challenges, and transformative contributions of CPOs in shaping modern pharmacy practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AIHP is very pleased that the hard work of RADM (Retired) Richard M. Church, RADM (Retired) Richard J. Bertin, and William A. Zellmer is being recognized by the pharmacy community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
