Starting in 2021, History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals<\/strong><\/em> (HoPP<\/em>) (ISSN 2694-3034, eISSN 2694-3042), an academic, peer-reviewed semi-annual journal (published in the Spring and the Fall), will be the official publication of the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy. AIHP is the editorial home, and the Institute partners with the University of Wisconsin Press<\/a><\/strong> to publish History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals<\/em>. History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals <\/em>publishes original scholarly articles about the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, broadly defined, including (but not limited to) the history of: pharmacy practice, pharmacy science, pharmacy education, drug regulation, social and cultural aspects of drugs and medicines, the pharmaceutical industry\u2014including the history of pharmaceuticals, drugs, and therapeutics\u2014and facets of the related medical sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journal solicits original unpublished scholarly article manuscripts of no more than 10,000 words (exclusive of footnotes). All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. The review process may take several months to complete, depending upon the availability and schedules of peer reviewers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All past issues of Pharmacy in History <\/em>and, beginning in 2021, current issues of History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals<\/em> will be available and text-searchable at JSTOR<\/a><\/strong>. Many libraries provide access to JSTOR; or readers can purchase individual articles from JSTOR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All AIHP Individual members receive a subscription to History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals<\/em> for both print and digital editions of each issue. AIHP individual members who provide us with their email address will also receive complimentary access to the History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals<\/em> \/ Pharmacy in History<\/em> JSTOR archive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
