Each fellowship award is up to $3,500 (email us at research@sandbox2.foxtrotdev.com for more information).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This opportunity will enable researchers to engage with a vibrant collection that ranges from rare pharmaceutical artifacts to institutional pharmacy education documents and international pharmaceutical exchange materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Read a list of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sandbox2.foxtrotdev.com\/grants\/aihp-phd-grant\/aihp-grant-recipients\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previous recipients of AIHP&#8217;s PhD Research Support Grant with their funded research topics<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Eligibility (2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Applicants must be affiliated with a <strong>North American institution.<\/strong> (US citizenship is NOT required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>PhD candidates<\/strong> must be ABD by the time the award is granted. Projects need not focus on American history but must be clearly and significantly related to the <strong>history of pharmacy or pharmaceuticals<\/strong>, broadly defined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>PharmD candidates<\/strong> must demonstrate a strong interest in history and propose a clearly defined project or a set of learning objectives. If the project is not part of a dissertation project, applicants should explain how the research contributes to their career trajectory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Fellowship Duration and Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fellows may stay <strong>up to three weeks<\/strong> (minimum recommended stay: one week). AIHP is closed on weekends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fellows are expected to:<ul><li>Present work in a seminar (virtual or in-person).Engage with graduate students and faculty during weekly History of Science, Medicine, and Technology meetings.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Application Deadline &amp; Award Period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Deadline to apply<\/strong>: January 9, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Award usage period<\/strong>: Must be used during calendar year 2026<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Application Guidelines (Max 4 pages, PDF format)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Contact Information<\/strong>: Name, mailing address, email, phone number, university affiliation, expected degree, major area of specialization, and expected graduation date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Project Overview:<\/strong> Tentative title and brief prospectus, including expected outcomes or skills gained through the fellowship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Narrative Statement:<\/strong> Describe the significance of your research to the history of pharmacy or pharmaceuticals and the activities that the grant will support. Specify which <a href=\"https:\/\/cdm17532.contentdm.oclc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">files\/artifacts\/photographs within our holdings<\/a> are of interest (be as specific as possible).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Budget:<\/strong> Itemized and annotated estimate of expenses (up to $3500).
